Associate Architect

Our client has over five decades of working within Architectural Design, Engineering and Project Management, and in this time has experienced growth year on year. Our client has a long track-record of working with world-class organisations in the R&D^field which has given them a thorough understanding of the discovery process. They are aware of the current needs of scientists and are up-to-date with and more often ahead of the latest technology trends.
Our client is looking to expand its R&D/Scientific team by appointing an Associate level Architect who has the experience and knowledge of how these sectors operate.
The role will be at Associate Architect level and you will be in charge of managing R&D, Pharma and Laboratory projectsfrom initial design, right through to management of projects on site. You will be at the head of a talented team, managed and co-ordinated by yourself.
As a Pt 3 qualified Architect you must be able to demonstrate experience of working on R&D, Pharma and Laboratory projects. You must be able to show Design leadership coupled with an understanding relevant guidance, codes and legislation, and the ability to work with leading blue chip clients on both Public and Private developments.
Your role will encompass the preparation of designs, documentation, drawings and specifications to the requirements of the Client and HOD/Design Team Leader, to act in a client facing role, supervising a team of Architectural Assistants and Architectural Technicians, and to develop your teams Technical and CAD skills to better enhance your teams ability to provide solutions to your clients requirements.
As a qualified Architect it essential; that you are able to show a portfolio of design work thatcovers Pharma, R&D and Laboratory developments, that your are CAD literate and that you are able to represent your employer with professionalism on all levels.
Your personal attributes will include excellent written and verbal skills, self motivation, and leadership qualities, the ability to problem solve in relation to complex design issues and working with a multidisciplinary team and a thorough knowledge of contract administration and design management.
