Project Architect
Code: 1776 Salary: £35000 - 40000 Contract Type: Permanent Location: Greater Manchester
Our client is an award winning Architectural practice based in the city centre of Manchester. Established in 1999, the practice has grown to 12 staff and they currently have a portfolio of work which encompasses Living, Healthcare, Leisure, Learning,^Community, Retail and Commercial projects, ranging in value from £500k to over £10m.
Our client has a need for a special Architect, someone with excellent design and Technical skills in the Commercial sector. An Architect who has the confidenceto take a lead role on projects and someone who is very hands on.
Your role will incorporate producing concept designs, ensuring a clients brief is taken into account, you will meet with clients on a face to face basis to discuss the best possible^options for their intended project, you will manage a small team, which you delegate effectively to. You will also see the project through to completion and hand over on site, and it is essential that you have a good understanding of Construction and Technical issues, so when problems arise, you are able to deal with them effectively.
As a qualified Architect, you must be able to demonstrate all of the above attributes, and that you can communicate effectively, both through your designs andalso verbally to clients and fellow colleagues. You must be CAD literate and able to produce production information including working drawings and detailing. This role is for someone with good all-round skills, who is very hands on, and who can thrive and assist with driving the company forward to the next level.
