Our client is looking for a Contract Structural Engineer for an initial four month contract. The client works mainly on Public Buildings, within a Local Authority capacity. Our client would like someone who has a nationally recognised Structural qualification, ideally with experience of working for a Local Authority.
Your role will encompass working on the design and detailing of building structures, including the use of steelwork, masonry, concrete and timber, supervising sites and site investigations, undertaking the preparation of technical information, reports, drawings and specifications and using CAD to prepare project drawings and details.
As an experienced Structural Engineer, it is essential that you have an in depth knowledge of building and construction techniques, you are fully CAD literate, and can manage your own work load.
